Re: Gold/Sullivan Money Spent On Players From 2010-Now
Not trying to defend the owners, but there are also costs involved with running a football club, wages for example, sticking up how much they have spent on transfers over 10 years is all very informative but needs to be in context with revenue and other expendature............

But your point with it is what?

Re: Gold/Sullivan Money Spent On Players From 2010-Now
considering we are pretty much in the same place tablewise as when they took over it just confirms how fucking useless they are at running top flight football clubs.time they sold up

Re: Gold/Sullivan Money Spent On Players From 2010-Now
My point is they have hardly spent much if you think about the money they get each year from Sky/BT, staying in the premier league, promotion payment for winning the playoff final, season ticket renewals + the sale of UP etc

They must get at least £15 million a year on season ticket renewals.

iphammer.

They may well and do get shit loads of revenue, but all im saying is before they are cunted (and im not trying to defend them) you need to put it into context with expendeture otherwise i cant see the point?

Time and again we hear about the debt, they put there own money into the club, personal loans etc, this proves nothing, and TBH is more then i thought it would have been!!!!

I’ve got no issue with the owners at the minute, anythings better than them Icelandic bunch of cunts who nearly bankrupted us. Attacking positions look good, Soucek has given midfield new dimension, they dont appear to be shamelessly try to sell our best playing staff & the manager appears relatively on top of things. Obviously I withhold the right to change my mind after first 7 games when we’ll see whether we are the same old West Ham or not!!

Thats the problem. Transfer fees alone are just one view of the bigger picture. The cash flows would be much more interesting. The wages paid, the agent fees, the financing of the transfers ( stage payments) and of course in recent seasons the large savings in wages on sales of Payet, Hernandez, Perez, Arnautovic, Obiang, Fernandes, and now Ajeti, Hugill, Sanchez, Zaballeta, Roberto. If the wages are saved then in theory they could be used to finance more transfer fees? How much is the interest on loans back to Sullivan and Gold taking too? And of course 120 million TV money coming in each season. The total wage bill ongoing as a proportion of that.

The claims of 11th highest spend are about as reliable as COVID data :-)

What we do know is our owners spend money very poorly. They would be bottom of the value for money table?

They are also the one set of owners at a Prem club that is shouting to the rooftops about being potless, broke, Reverse psychology smokescreen to generally avoid spending anything as their businesses generally are taking a hit and hence their wealth due to Covid? Speculation but why make such a loud noise about it across the media?

Re: Gold/Sullivan Money Spent On Players From 2010-Now
I have never had a problem with the money the Daves "put in".But they then take it out anyway. Which is pennywise, but reveals why they're interested.

They're just bad owners. Crisis buys, crisis managers, lack of foresight, little respect for the club other than a "brand". And under them, WHU has lost massive respect. Bastards.

"Everyone's second favourite team"??
We're now "everyone's favourite laughing stock".

They are just WRONG.

Re: Gold/Sullivan Money Spent On Players From 2010-Now
I suspect many will have a problem with the money they are putting in this season. With the reduction in wages so far, they are quids in. Agree though, its as much about their incompetence. That extends to them being so incompetent or inept that they do not realise or acknowledge they are incompetent and inept. :-)

What they are good at is pumping out propaganda. The current "we're potless because we have spent so much" noise is impressive. Some fans even buying into it.

i'm loaning them money by buying my season ticket this week for a seat they cannot provide until an unspecified date. I might charge them 6% interest on that......

Re: Gold/Sullivan Money Spent On Players From 2010-Now
I've boycotted them, they won't get a penny more from a few of us. No good moaning unless you make a stand and don't go nothing will change, just don't go and give them your hard earned, they will soon sell.
